My name is Michael van Leeuwen, and I am an alumni of Charis Bible College. I graduated from Charis Bible College in Heidelberg, South Africa together with my wife Manuela. She is also active as a Group Leader and co-leader for my bible study group. Manuela also attended Charis for 3rd year Ministry School Woodland Park, Co. and graduated in 2022.
We have a heart for people, and we want to impact this generation with the gospel. Share what Jesus Christ has done in our life, and help others to grow. The local church is God's primary instrument to take the Gospel and reach the world for Christ. But in order to become more effective we need to continue in our passion to reach the lost, commit ourselves to the Lord, His vision for the church by equipping the saints and help others to become a leader.
We have an active travelling ministry in the Netherlands and we are reaching out to the nations. Therefor we we have chosen to provide Online Charis bible Study. Our studies are in English, and in some cases in Indonesian translation.
Also we would like to get to know our students and give them the opportunity to get to know each other. Therefore, we have added monthly online Q&A sessions. You will meet other fellow-believers from different parts of the world online and spend time together in prayer and your questions answered. There will be a maximum of 30 registered attendees to keep the group relational even though the study is Online.

Michael and Manuela van Leeuwen, are both alumni of Charis Bible College and active as Group Leaders of Charis Bible Studies. Our teachings are pre-recorded and translated in Indonesian as well by Indri Tobing, Charis Alumni. CONTENT Grace and faith are often seen as opposing forces. Many of those who emphasize God’s grace believe once we are saved, His blessings, (peace, healing, prosperity) are then distributed sovereignly as He wills. Many of those who emphasize faith believe what we receive from God is up to us; our willingness to study the Word, pray and fast, attend church, and even pay our tithe all determine God’s blessing in our lives. The real truth lies somewhere in between. Grace and faith are both essential ingredients in our walk with the Lord. In this teaching of Charis Bible Studies, you learn both concepts and how living in the balance of grace and faith will change your relationship with God forever. Take time to build your roots.
