Romans 1:16 Paul writes he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. The message of Romans is that ALL people (even if you have terribly messed up) have free access to the riches of God's grace in Christ as they respond in faith to the Gospel. The beauty of this study is that it takes us verse by verse through the book of Romans. The Gospel is the power of God that releases the benefits of salvation into our lives. Salvation is much more than being born again & receiving eternal salvation. As believers in Christ Jesus, we are entitled to all that God has provided for us in Christ. If we need healing, it's in the Gospel. If we need deliverance, it's in the Gospel. Prosperity is in the Gospel. Joy, peace, love, acceptance - found in the Gospel. If we are not experiencing God's abundance that Jesus provided for us in every area of our life, than we are not understanding or believing the Gospel of Christ Jesus. The Gospel means nearly-too-good-to-be true. Now that is good news!
